A Day in the Lives of the Moore Family...

You know me....I can always find some kindof mess to get my self in! Well, today was one of those days!!

Our day started out good...sunny skies...boys were happy - what every mother would want to wake up to. We had a meet-up with our playgroup at a park in Mason at 10:15...and as always...I am pushing the clock!! I pull out of the garage, and remembered that I forgot my ipod (and I had to have it...just downloaded the "Mama Mia" soundtrack), so I got out of the car and started walking back in - when I noticed a good size puddle on the floor of my garage. I looked at it trying to figure out why I had so much AC fluid on the ground when my car had not been running...or moved in a while!! I looked closer at it and noticed it had an orange color to it - I may be dumb when it comes to the ins/outs of vehicles, but I did know there was something wrong with my car when I noticed this BIG MESS!! So...I know most of you would have immediately turned the car off...called their husband...and checked into the issue - right? NOT ME!!! I didn't want to miss out on the playdate (and I really didn't think it was anything real big). So, the boys and I continued on our journey to the park, and I called Davy. He didn't know what it was...and my gauges looked fine, so he told me to just check the ground again when I left the park. We went to the park, and the kids had a blast!!! I had fun meeting some new moms - and a grandmother that is new to our group (she keeps her 2 year old granddaughter everyday). Donna (the grandmother) has family in Jackson, TN...can you believe it!!! She was actually in Milan last weekend for a wedding. It gets even BETTER...her husband grew up in RIPLEY, MS!!! So - of course we hit it off real fast. We enjoyed talking about both places..and different people!! We stayed there for a couple of hours, and the kids were hot, tired, and thirsty (and me being the "Super Mom" that I am - forgot to pack drinks for them, but I did have my Vault in the car - so I shared that with them)!! Between the sugar rush and the excitement of all the cool stuff they did fine!!

These pictures only share 1/4 of all the fun play equipment this park has...it is very nice!!

After we got in the car....I backed out only to find another puddle (still orange in color),so I called Davy!! We as parents know - that when our stress levels are high....our kids are TERRIBLE!! Well, the boys felt the need to...all of a sudden be STARBING (as Barrett calls it). I guess the sugar from the Vault drink had worn off. So, while I was trying to talk to Davy...the boys were screaming in the background - "We're hungry" over and over!! Davy had spoken with several people about my little car issue - and some were afraid it was my transmission, so he wanted me to go ahead and get it taken care of right then. I decided to swing through McDonald's (yes...I know a wonderful lunch)only to find the line wrapped around the ENTIRE place, so we decided to go in (bigger mistake - but we made it out 30 minutes later). We then went to Wal-Mart...thinking they might be able to take a look at my car. WRONG...they don't do that sort of thing!! So, back to the car we go...back on the cell phone I get...and the boys are happy little beavers eating their Happy Meals. Davy found a place for me to take my car - across town - so...yet again - I am on the road again!! Long story short...they checked my car...it is the Water Pump (I don't even know what that is...I do know it is going to cost A LOT of money to fix!!!). But, my story doesn't end there...they can't work on it today!!!!! So....on the road again I go - but this time - I am GOING HOME!! We went home, and the boys took a great nap. Once Davy got home, we drove my car BACK up to the mechanic's shop (did I mention he had the personality of a BRICK WALL?!) for them to work on tomorrow morning. As we were driving home...Chick-fil-A was having a HUGE party,so of course Davy and the boys wanted to go eat at Chick-fil-A. We walked in to find - to our surprise....FREE FOOD (probably a good thing after finding out how much it will cost to fix my car..haha). It was Chick-fil-A's birthday!! They were giving away free chicken sandwiches to everyone there. They were also giving away free stuffed cow toys. The boys were in HEAVEN. The guy that dresses up in the cow suit was there greeting everyone (my boys were tickled that he came over and gave them a hug). We finished eating, and headed home. The rest of the evening consisted of just hanging out....we all enjoyed and needed that!!

The boys with their cow toys...

Tomorrow morning, the boys and I will take Davy to work - so we can have a vehicle (tomorrow if "Kid Movie Day" at Regal...FREE movies). We will then pick Davy up after work!! I sure hope tomorrow is not quite as eventful as today...but hey...today gave me plenty to blog about :)

Well, I noticed in the pictures of the boys at the park that they still have their tatoos on. How long are they planning to keep them? Barrett will probably be really sad when his finally gets washed off.
