Sledding Southern Style

Today, we were literally SNOWED in. They issued a level 3 for all roads...which means you can't go out unless it is an emergency! So, Davy worked from home again today. After lunch, the boys took a short rest -- then we suited up and headed out! Davy went out a few minutes earlier to start shoveling the driveway so that we could get the 4 wheeler out.

Needless to say...he thinks we need to purchase a snow blower..and I agree!! The boys enjoyed helping him too! Barrett used a sand shovel to help his daddy -- bad thing is -- he kept losing it :(

I couldn't find Barrett for a minute while we were outside playing...I turned around and this is what I found::

After we had cleaned off the driveway, we got the 4-wheeler out and we had a ball sledding with the boys!! They loved it...and so did we! We think we are the only people in our neighborhood with a 4-wheeler..and they probably think we are "Red Necks" with our 4-wheeler pulling our sled, but we don't care. It was kindof funny, because people would come out and watch us...and wave to the kids!! Who knows...maybe we started something new in our new neighborhood!! Here are some pictures from sledding -- Southern Style

Here is a short video from sledding too:

Barrett has learned to Spell his name....with just a few extra letters!!

Barrett has been working SO HARD to learn to spell his name lately, and bless his heart -- he either adds WAY too many letters or leaves some letters out. He is getting better though, and you can't help but laugh at him, because it is just tooooo cute when he spells it!!

Who Knew Learning to Ride a Bike Was SO HARD....not us!!

Yesterday, the weather was sooo nice -- so we decided to play outside with the boys after Carson got out of school. We thought it would be a good day to work with Carson on learning to ride his bike. I worked with him a little, but I wasn't getting very far....so Davy took over. They practiced for a while...and Carson got better, but he is just SO afraid of falling down and hurting himself...that he wouldn't focus on balancing the bike. We will continue to work on this as the weather allows.

As most of you know...the boys had asked Santa for a "REAL" Dirt Bike like their daddy's, but Santa told them that they had to learn to ride their bikes without training wheels first. So, they are really working hard at learning how to do this...any suggestions?

Don't you just love Barrett's bike helmet? It is Davy's old Dirt Bike helmet..it is almost as big as he is! He looked like a bobble head out riding his bike!!

Barrett's Playdate with Drew..

Thursday after pre-school, Barrett's best friend, Drew, came over to play. They were GREAT!!! I really didn't see them that much...other than when they would run from the play room upstairs to the play room in the basement. Drew and Barrett play so well together at school, and they did great the whole afternoon. They played dress-up, Star Wars, and enjoyed playing the Wii and XBOX. Here are some pictures from various outfits they dressed up in....

Barrett and Drew...Best Buds...

They had a ball dressing up as Dirt Bike Riders, Football Players, and Baseball Players. I would have them stop for a picture on they way going up or down stairs...

This picture was my favorite...I would walk up stairs to check on them, and they were just playing so well together. In this picture...they were playing football on the Playstation. It was SO FUNNY...They were really playing the game!!!

I would like for you to meet the next American Idol Winner.....Barrett Moore

Well, as you know, I come from a large family of singers...and it looks like my two boys are following in those footsteps! Saturday, we were on our way to Costco...and Barrett (out of NO WHERE) starts singing Here I am to Worship....and bless his heart...he kept singing the same thing over, and over, and over!! I finally got my camera out and recorded what I could (you can also hear Carson a little). Barrett and Carson LOVE to sing...I can't say that is is always in tune, or the right words...but it is music to my ears (well, most of the time).

Here is a short video...
