All I Can Say is....THANKGOODNESS for NAPTIME!!

Boy oh boy....today was not one of our better day!! The boys were very "tired" as some would say....I call it just being BRATS (not really - but man they were ill). I finally packed them up and off we went to the pool for a little while! That worked for a little while, but they just could not get along. In the pool, Carson was helping Barrett swim --- well that just didn't suit Barrett at all!!!

After a little while...they decided they needed to lay out and get a tan. This was toooo funny!! They wanted the tanning oil...the whole thing. They wanted to have their towels just right....

After swimming for a little while, we ate lunch, Carson read a couple of "Dick and Jane" books, and off to bed they went!! They slept a couple of hours, and woke up in a great mood. When Davy got home...we all went with him to get his hair cut (can we say I was BORED or what)! We then came home and started getting ready for dinner. The boys have started helping set the table at night and cleaning up after dinner...they think it is pretty fun right now (maybe I should teach them to clean, cook, or even do laundry :)). Carson put the forks out and Barrett put the napkins out....Barrett has his own special way of setting the table, and he really gets mad if you try to change what he has done (so we usually don't - we just grin and say thanks).

I guess we really need to do a better job having them clean up their toys!! We bought these cute baskets for the boys to keep their toys in (b/c their toys are in our living room/dining room - so I wanted something to simi "hide" all the toys). Well....tonight I found myself falling all over the power rangers. So I think I will start adding the chore of "cleaning up all their toys" for next week!!

We will have an exciting day tomorrow!! I am going to go register Carson for school in the morning, and then we are going to the movies -- FREE MOVIES!!! The Regal here shows kiddie movies on Tues. and Wed. for free. Tomorrow we will see the Alvin and the Chipmuck's movie.

It's good to see the boys helping out at home. That is good training for them. Even though you adults can do it faster and smoother, the boys are learning to take responsibility for doing some things around the house. Yes, I think that picking up the toys should definitely be on the list--at least while you guys are in cramped quarters.

I can't believe that Carson is swimming well enough to "help" someone else learn to swim. Do you still have those little swimmy toys that Davy brought to the pool when we were in Amelia Island? Those or a beach ball or something like that would be fun to do while playing in the pool.

I also can't believe our little boy is ready for first grade. Take lots of pictures of registering him.

Love,
Mom
