We had a BLAST this weekend...
Words can not express how much fun we had this weekend!! We meet our friends from Columbus here in Mason this weekend to go on the North Pole Express. They were staying at the Great Wolf Lodge this weekend (that has an indoor water park inside), so we decided to stay on Friday night as well. That way the boys were able to hangout and enjoy a great evening of fun!! And boy they did!! We got to the lodge around 6ish...ate dinner...and then headed to the indoor water park. It was AMAZING...I higher recommend this place for everybody...young or old. They had everything you can imagine in this place!! The kids (as well as us) thought it was pretty cool to stay there!! We got up Sat. morning...ate breakfast...and we were off to the water slides again!! We stayed until 1ish...then headed home to get ready for the train ride. Oh yeah....forgot to mention that we woke up to a "Winter Wonderland"...snow EVERYWHERE!! The first person I thought of was my dad....he loves the snow -- I wish he could have been here to see it -- it was breathtaking!! We met back up with the VanWormers (our friends from Columbus)Sat. afternoon then headed to Lebanon for the North Pole Express. Needless to say...by the time we got home Sat. night our boys were so TIRED!!
Here are a couple of slideshows of our weekend!!

So, this is what it is like around here when it snows!!!
Yesterday was a real eye-opener for me. I woke up to the beautiful snow falling!! Well, immediately I thought -- oh, Carson won't go to school today (I guess the TN came out in me) --- WRONG!!! I made a couple of quick phone calls -- and I soon learned that YES, we would be going to school -- they then explained to me that we don't get out for "lite snow" around here. In TN, we would have closed up everything!!
Here are a couple of pictures of the boys waiting to get on the bus:

After Carson got on the bus, Barrett and I had about 30 min. to kill before taking him to pre-school..so we ran to Wal-Mart. I was a little nervous to get on the roads with all the snow, but I then noticed that everyone else was driving on the roads like there was nothing going on. The snow here seems to be drier than what we would get in TN. Wal-Mart seemed to have just as many people yesterday as they would any other day!!!
Here are a couple of pictures from Wal-Mart. I know the people thought I was crazy taking pictures, but then they prob. saw my TN license plate, and realized I was new to the area (or thought I was not real bright...or had never seen snow).

I just wonder what the rest of the winter (wait...it isn't even winter yet) will hold!! Everyone keeps talking about the "Ohio Winter" around here!!! As long as I am not stuck in the house...I will be fine!!!! I am really enjoying seeing the snow fall though...much different from TN!! Maybe I should take up snow skiing...I will add that to my list of many things to "try" around here!!

Ornament Time with the Moore Family
Last week...the boys were in Ark. visiting their grandparents, so I took advantage of the time -- and put up Christmas decorations, shopped (I'm COMPLETELY DONE), and completed many other things on my "to-do list". I did put up the tree, but we always (well the past 5 years I guess) have the boys help us put up the ornaments. We turn on Christmas music, pull out all the Hallmark Keepsake ornaments...and turn a plain tree into wonderful memories! This was a fun and memorable experience for me growing up...and I want to continue this with my family. Well, tonight was just like any other night...Carson had football until 5...then home we came to decorate!! The boys had a ball putting the ornaments on the tree...as well as dragging out all the boxes, fighting over who was going to put up certain ornaments (you know the usually brotherly love type conversations).
Here are a few pictures of our fun (for the most part) decorating experience:

Something that I decided to do tonight..was very memorable (at least to me). As I pulled out some of my old keepsake ornaments - I found the ornament that I got when I was 4 years old and the one when I was 6 years old...and I had the boys hang them each. I told them about how I was the same age they were (right now) when I got those. Carson seemed to think that was pretty neat...Barrett on the other hand -- well, you know -- he just wanted to hang it up and move on!! Here are the pictures of the boys holding the ornaments that were mine when I was 4 and 6. Boy, that sounds WILD...my boys are 4 and 6 -- they are no longer BABIES!! That makes me sooo sad!!

You know...God has blessed us with 2 wonderful boys, and he has blessed me with a wonderful husband/father that my boys adore. They think Davy is the best thing ever!! Here is a picture of the finished project and my boys (all 3 of them). You know our tree may not be a "theme" tree...and the ornaments may not be on there "evenly", but I know that my kiddos did it -- and that makes it even better!!

Another Day in the Life of our Little Man...you just never know!!
Today, as we were leaving Dick's Sporting goods...Barrett asked me to look at his new "Sweat head"...should be sweat band, but ya know my silly Barrett...he has his own vocabulary!! I turned around (while stopped at the red light) and died out laughing!! He looked sooo funny!! Well, I embarrassed him and he took it off -- but I did get him to put it back on for a picture. He told me that this is what football players wear. You know Barrett...he is all about dressing the part of whatever "Sports player" he might be that day!! Thought you would enjoy this!! I hope he keeps you laughing as much as he does us!!
SHARK TEETH
We are proud to announce that Carson is finally going to be getting "Big Teeth"...as he calls them. I just happened to look in his mouth the other day...and this is what I found! I just about DIED!! And you know me...I don't hide my emotions too well!! I was a nervous wreck!! All I could imagine was the dentist having to pull them...and he may still have to, but he wants Carson to try and "wiggle" them out himself!! So, one is really really loose, but the other one...not so much. Dr. Koren (his dentist) told me to give him a couple of weeks, so we will see!! Carson calls this his "shark teeth". Shark teeth or not... I just hope they move on in to look normal!! Dr. Koren said this was normal, and for me not to worry....boy, does he have a lot to learn about me:)
