Ornament Time with the Moore Family

Last week...the boys were in Ark. visiting their grandparents, so I took advantage of the time -- and put up Christmas decorations, shopped (I'm COMPLETELY DONE), and completed many other things on my "to-do list". I did put up the tree, but we always (well the past 5 years I guess) have the boys help us put up the ornaments. We turn on Christmas music, pull out all the Hallmark Keepsake ornaments...and turn a plain tree into wonderful memories! This was a fun and memorable experience for me growing up...and I want to continue this with my family. Well, tonight was just like any other night...Carson had football until 5...then home we came to decorate!! The boys had a ball putting the ornaments on the tree...as well as dragging out all the boxes, fighting over who was going to put up certain ornaments (you know the usually brotherly love type conversations).

Here are a few pictures of our fun (for the most part) decorating experience:

Something that I decided to do tonight..was very memorable (at least to me). As I pulled out some of my old keepsake ornaments - I found the ornament that I got when I was 4 years old and the one when I was 6 years old...and I had the boys hang them each. I told them about how I was the same age they were (right now) when I got those. Carson seemed to think that was pretty neat...Barrett on the other hand -- well, you know -- he just wanted to hang it up and move on!! Here are the pictures of the boys holding the ornaments that were mine when I was 4 and 6. Boy, that sounds WILD...my boys are 4 and 6 -- they are no longer BABIES!! That makes me sooo sad!!

You know...God has blessed us with 2 wonderful boys, and he has blessed me with a wonderful husband/father that my boys adore. They think Davy is the best thing ever!! Here is a picture of the finished project and my boys (all 3 of them). You know our tree may not be a "theme" tree...and the ornaments may not be on there "evenly", but I know that my kiddos did it -- and that makes it even better!!

Another Day in the Life of our Little Man...you just never know!!

Today, as we were leaving Dick's Sporting goods...Barrett asked me to look at his new "Sweat head"...should be sweat band, but ya know my silly Barrett...he has his own vocabulary!! I turned around (while stopped at the red light) and died out laughing!! He looked sooo funny!! Well, I embarrassed him and he took it off -- but I did get him to put it back on for a picture. He told me that this is what football players wear. You know Barrett...he is all about dressing the part of whatever "Sports player" he might be that day!! Thought you would enjoy this!! I hope he keeps you laughing as much as he does us!!

SHARK TEETH

We are proud to announce that Carson is finally going to be getting "Big Teeth"...as he calls them. I just happened to look in his mouth the other day...and this is what I found! I just about DIED!! And you know me...I don't hide my emotions too well!! I was a nervous wreck!! All I could imagine was the dentist having to pull them...and he may still have to, but he wants Carson to try and "wiggle" them out himself!! So, one is really really loose, but the other one...not so much. Dr. Koren (his dentist) told me to give him a couple of weeks, so we will see!! Carson calls this his "shark teeth". Shark teeth or not... I just hope they move on in to look normal!! Dr. Koren said this was normal, and for me not to worry....boy, does he have a lot to learn about me:)

Barrett's Thanksgiving Feast

Today, Barrett had his Thanksgiving Feast at school. They all brought in various food items to contribute to the feast. Each child helped in making the fruit salad that we had. We had fruit salad, cheese, crackers, and juice for our feast. It was so cute! They made little placemates and turkeys for the table. They also sang a variety of Thanksgiving songs for us too. Here are a couple of videos from the program...sorry for the various kiddos running by the camera - they were a little excited that all the mommies where they watching :)

Carson....could he be the next Line Man for Titans?

Carson is participating in MECC After-school Flag Football Class on Mondays after school. He is LOVING IT!! He started last week, and he told me when I picked him up (last week) that I could come and watch sometime. So, yesterday Barrett and I went up there to watch them practice. He did soooo good! I was soooo proud of my Big Man!! He is really enjoying it - and I hope that he will be able to play "real" flag football next fall (if he is finally old enough).

Here are some pictures from his football practice yesterday.

Chuck E. Cheese will NEVER be the same again!

After a WILD, but fun party at Chuck E. Cheese - the boys were WORN out...and so were we! Barrett had 16 of his friends from church, pre-school, and play group to join him in a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese Monday night. I thought it was the easiest planning of a party - I have ever done!! I just emailed and reserved it...the rest was left in the hands of the workers there. Everyone seemed to have a great time...and most of all -- Barrett seemed to LOVE the whole experience! Both the boys love Chuck E. Cheese...and this was our first time to go to the one in Cincy. It was very nice, and had a lot of fun games for the kiddos. Needless to say - Carson has decided that he wants his party there too. Barrett got a lunch box, medal, time with Chuck E. Cheese, and many other things from the party....not to mention all the fun new toys!!

Here is a smilebox of pictures from his party:

My Little Man is 4...where has the time gone?

Well, 4 years ago...we had added an addition to our family. Barrett came into this world fast and furious...and hasn't stopped since! I have made a slide show of various pictures of Barrett throughout the last 4 years, and man how he has changed. Our family is full of memories from both of our boys. God has blessed us with 2 wonderful boys...who are truly a blessing to our lives - and they give us the greatest joy each and everyday. I can't imagine our lives without either one of them! Each day brings many new milestones, and I have been soooo lucky to be a part of each of those with them!
