Barrett's Field Trip to the B&B Riverboat
Barrett's Preschool took a field trip to the B&B Riverboat last week, and they had a blast!! Mr. Cowpie (crazy name..but the kids loved him) was there with all of his animals, and the kids loved hearing all about the animals. He also sang cute little songs and told funny jokes throughout the presentation. After the presentation, we were able to go to the top of the boat and look around. The weather was perfect for the field trip...and what a fun way to end the year!!
Here are some of the pictures from that day:

Mother's Day Tea at Barrett's Preschool
You know...I have the best job in the world...I am a MOM!! The Thursday before Mother's Day (yes, I am that far behind..trying to catch up) Barrett's pre-school had a Mother's Day Tea. It was soooo much fun! They made all the moms cute hats (that is what is on my head), and they made us cute little plaques that they painted(I LOVE stuff like that). They served us tea and snacks...and then they sang several songs for us. It was just PRECIOUS...I was so glad I was able to share this time with Barrett. I am the mother of 2 WONDERFUL BOYS!!!
The Flying Pig 5K
As many of you know, I ran in my first 5k the middle of May. It was GREAT!! I am sooooo addicted to it now. Nicole (a friend of mine from church) ran with me!! It was just amazing to run (and we power walked some too) with 100s of people. My adrenalin (sp?) was sooo high that I felt like I could run forever!! I hope to continue to do several 5Ks throughout the year...and maybe try the 10K next year at the Flying Pig.

My Boys...

Well, it has been a while since I blogged!! Sorry about that! We have been soooo busy around here - that I have forgotten to blog. I plan on getting back into the swing of it soon!! I just thought I would share some of the pictures of the boys from this past Sunday. I tell you what...I can't get a good picture of Barrett to save my life. BUT...this is Barrett!! Both of the boys are growing up sooooo fast...and I am excited yet sad! I am excited to be able to watch all the new adventures in their lives, but I am sad to think that they don't "need" me as much anymore!! The boys are keeping us sooo busy right now with sports and all their outings. It is hard to believe that we have been in Ohio almost a year!! Time really does fly!! Well, I am going to try and catch everyone up on our past few weeks!!

As most of you know, Grandaddy fell last week and broke his hip. Barrett and I went down to MS last Wednesday -- and Davy and Carson came down on Friday for the weekend. Grandaddy was still in the hospital during the weekend, so we had a birthday party for him at the hospital. Barrett and Carson thought it was really neat!! Grandaddy is doing much better. He is currently in a nursing home for rehab. Allison (my cousin) works there -- so she is able to keep an eye on him.
Barrett's First Soccer Game Spring 2009

Barrett is playing "real" soccer now!! He played this winter (in-door soccer), but this is the real deal soccer now!! They even have these 4 year olds playing positions!! Blew my mind!! Barrett is in HOG HEAVEN!! Davy is helping coach Barrett's team -- and Barrett is lovin every minute of it!! He always saw Davy coach Carson's teams, so he thinks it is pretty special to have his daddy helping his team. The bad news is -- most of the boys games are at the same time!! Good news (for me)is that they are just one field away, so I walk back and forth during games!! Barrett did really well during his game - he also had a chance to play goalie as well during his game!! I have two very athletic boys..and I love it!!!
Carson's First Soccer Game Spring 2009

Carson's Soccer Season has taken off. He had his first game a couple of weeks ago. He did great!! He even had the chance to play goalie. They all play various positions throughout the game. Due to the rain -- everyday in Ohio - many practices have been canceled. Even though they haven't had many practices -- they still did GREAT on game day!! He will have his first baseball game tomorrow -- he will miss his soccer game tomorrow because the two games overlap (this is the only time this will happen).
Carson's New Bike
As most of you know, Carson is now riding his bike without training wheels!! Davy thought Carson needed a bigger bike (and I guess he probably did) -- so he found a great deal on a new bike. He also got Barrett a bike helmet (to help off set the new gift for Carson). Here are a few pictures from this fun afternoon!!
He gave Barrett his helmet first -- and boy did Carson get upset. Carson thought he didn't get anything!!

Here are some pictures from Carson's new bike. He was so excited after Davy told him to go look in the back of his truck!! This bike is a little too big right now, but it will be a bike that he can grow into for sure. They love riding their bikes on our street with all the neighborhood kids.

So, after about 30 minutes on his new bike -- Carson ended up in the ER. He fell off the bike and hit his head. Of course, he didn't have his helmet on!! We were at the ER for 3 hours!!! All was fine at the hospital...the doctor just told him to wear his helmet!! Carson was fine once I got there (I was not there when this happened). He was more concerned about getting a band-aid for his cut on his foot!!

Barrett was given Carson's "Big" dirt bike to ride now -- he thought he was pretty cool!!
