We had a great Easter Morning, but it wasn't the same not having family here with us!! I am not real sure about being in Ohio for holidays!! We were invited to come have Easter Dinner with some friends of ours and that was nice to be able to spend Easter with them. The boys had a BALL hunting for their Easter baskets. The Easter Bunny left various clues around the house that led the boys to their Easter baskets!! Hope you enjoy!!! I hope each and everyone had a great Easter this year!! And we love you all!!!

Carson learned to ride his bike without training wheels today..YIPPY!!

Today was a GREAT day!! We had a wonderful day playing outside and a mile stone was reached today!! Carson FINALLY learned to ride his bike without training wheels!! We have been trying for a long time to get Carson to ride his bike without training wheels...and he just wasn't ready before today!! Davy had raised the training wheels up so that Carson had to work on balancing himself...and today he asked Davy to take them off!! We sort of figured it would be like the other times when he would ask to have them taken off (and 5 minutes later...he would ask to have them put back on)...but today...he just took off!! We were sooo proud of him!! We were working in the yard, and Davy and I looked up -- and there he was riding his bike!! Sorry for the "loud mouth" on the video!! We were just THRILLED that he was riding without the training wheels!! Could you tell we were just a little EXCITED!!!

Happy Easter 2009

I can't believe Easter is here again!! This year has FLOWN by!! We have actually lived in Ohio now for 9 months...that is hard to believe!! We have had a blast this Spring Break. We were able to spend time in TN and spend time with our friends here in Ohio. We will be enjoying a nice Easter Filled weekend before the weekend ballgames start!! On Wednesday, my neighbor and I took the kids to the mall to see the Easter Bunny. I was able to get a few good pictures while they were sitting in his lap!!



The boys and I plan on decorating eggs tomorrow with the neighbors...and then of course we will have to hunt them!! Then on Sunday, we are going to have a great Easter Sunday lunch with one of my friends (and her family) from my Mom's Group!! I will have to post our fun Easter activities soon!!

A Weekend on Dirt Bikes...yes, you read right!!!

Davy and a group of guys always go to Loretta Lynn's twice a year to ride dirt bikes. Some of our close friends drive down from NC to take part in this fun event. We always have a blast when we go!!! We all usually stay at my parents' river house (thanks mom and dad) and hang out while the guys ride....but this year was different!! The boys are getting old enough to really want to take part in WHATEVER Davy is doing, so we decided to go out there this year and "hangout" with the guys!!

We had a ball!! We ate lunch with the guys, watched them ride dirt bikes, and we even rode a little!! You read this right....I RODE TOO!!! I loved it!! It wasn't near as hard as I thought it would be!!! Now, I didn't ride Davy's bike -- I rode one that a guy brought up there (that belongs to his wife). I think next year we may take the 4-wheeler out there for me and the boys to ride!!

So, it looks like my life will be filled with dirt bikes, 4-wheelers, baseball, soccer, football, and I am sure more BOY STUFF!!

Ball Season has BEGUN...and we are LOVIN' every minute of it!!

As most of you know...we are ALWAYS busy, but here lately -- we have been SUPER BUSY!! Ball season started last week (for both of the boys), and man -- we have some sort of practice or game EVERY afternoon/night except Friday!! We are either at the soccer field or baseball field!! And I couldn't be more excited!! I am loving the fact that Barrett is FINELY old enough to really "play" ball. Bless his heart, he has walked in Carson's shadow for soooo long...and all he has EVER wanted to do is really play ball. Yes, he did have a little "Soccer class" -- indoor this winter, but they didn't really play games. Barrett was old enough for soccer this spring, but missed the cut off for baseball. He will pick that up this fall...he let me know that real fast!! He is doing sooo good though!! He tries so hard, and most of the drills and such just come so natural to him!! I am such a proud mother!! I will have to post some videos throughout the season!!



They (Carson and Barrett) had team pictures this afternoon. Here are a few of Barrett. He got his uniform last night...and didn't take it off until tonight for his bath (I know...not very surprising for Barrett).



Carson is just THRILLED to have such a great group of friends on his baseball and soccer team this spring. He is really doing great with both. I hate that we will be missing a week of practice...but we are sooo excited to be coming to TN to visit friends and family!! This afternoon during practice, Carson made several remarkable plays...Davy and I were really proud of him!! He seems to improve his skills all the time. He also had his spring concert at school last night...he had a little speaking part and did GREAT!! I will have to post some videos and pictures from that (it is on my big camera right now).

Looks like this will be my life for the next few months, but I will tell you....I love it!! I love watching them and cheering for them...God has blessed us with two WONDERFUL and talented young boys. I can't wait to see what the future holds for them!! I am a PROUD PARENT!!!
